Claudia Rousseau has reviwed my show with Joanna Knox Metaphor. Time . Truth.
Sean Hennessey’s three-dimensional multimedia works and Joanna Knox’s photographs of the interiors of abandoned houses are well matched here. The installation is not segregated by artist. Instead, the works are interspersed on the walls as if to comment on each other. Although Hennessey is more conceptually oriented, both artists aim to provoke meditation on the existence of things and places, focusing on the way that ordinary things carry a personal history, a ‘‘past presence,” as the title of Knox’s series suggests.

large crazy painting.
damn, it was a long day.
This is the first days work of a 26'x9' painting i'm doing for a client.
i have one more day to finish, and to pull all these colors together somehow.
: )
i'm thinking a nice light raw umber/ drop of burnt umber glaze will do the trick, and tie into the rest of the room.
of course, i'll post a picture of the result.

Baltimore Sun Reviews Fells Point Washington Glass School Show
From The Article
Though the Washington Glass School is not, strictly speaking, a "school" in the same sense as the Washington Color School was - that is, a distinct group of artists whose work is related by period, style and place - many of Tate's instructors share certain critical attitudes and assumptions regarding glass-making as art.
Perhaps the most important is their utter devotion to the idea of experimentation as a creative method. For them, any technique, imagery or material is a potentially viable approach if it enlarges the possibilities of expressive freedom.

There is also an old vault which can be used for storage, artist studio space or an office... my last studio mate used this space as a yoga room. Rent is 1025 a month all utilities included… rent could be negotiated depending on subletor’s use of the space. Washer/dryer, hardwood floors, dish washer and wireless Internet also included.
