Auction Wednesday "A Door Through Which We Will All Pass"

Every Wednesday for the past couple of months, I've been auctioning off a piece of art on my facebook page. Here is today's piece

"A Door Through Which We Will All Pass"
Glass
16.25"x14.25"
12 Lbs.
This is a framed wall relief piece. There is a bracket in the back of the frame for hanging.

I like the ambiguity of door imagery. Where does the door lead? What's on the other side? Am I on the inside being protected? Or blocked from freedom? Am I on the outside wishing for entry. To me they raise questions. They suggest possibilities and options. But also, as I was sadly reminded this week with the loss of a friend, they sometimes represent a finality. A door that can never be reopened. They hold a mystery, both the hopeful and the mournful.
