Gigantic Open Studios this Saturday! now with free shuttle bus!

This coming saturday from noon to 6 is the annual spring gateway arts district open studio tour.
The Gateway Arts District is centered on the Rhode Island Avenue Corridor of the towns of North Brentwood, Brentwood, and Mount Rainier in Prince George's County Maryland.
It is hub of artistic activity and production for Washington, DC.

the shuttle bus will leave from the West Hyattsville Metro Station. there will be signs for the shuttle.
There's plenty of parking if you want to drive.


The Gateway Arts District is home to the Washington Glass School and its our 9th anniversary!

Artists exhibiting at our studio for the open house include: Michael Janis, Tim Tate, Erwin Timmers, Syl Mathis, Robert Kincheloe, Jessica Beels, Nancy Donnelly, Sean Hennessey, Rania Hassan, Jennifer Lindstrom, David Pearcy, Anne Plant, Cheryl Derricotte, David Cook, Allegra Marquart, Chris Shea, Nancy Krondstat, Kirk Waldroff, Alison Sigethey, and more!
we will also have Torchwork demonstrations, discounts on class registrations, music, food & fun!
We will also have good prices on artwork and will be around to talk about what we make and why.

Surrounding artist studios (Red Dirt Studio with Margaret Boozer, JJ McCracken; Flux Studios with Novie Trump, Laurel Lukaszewski; Ellyn Weiss Studio) will be participating in the huge event.

Details on my exhibit at NIH

National Institutes of Health . NIH .

My wife Rania Hassan and I both  have artwork on exhibit at the National Institutes of Health [NIH] in Bethesda, Maryland. Artwork will be on display through July 2 in the Clinical Research Center Galleries in the Mark O. Hatfield NIH Clinical Center, Building 10.

NIH is accessible 24 hours a day, everyday.
Weekends and evenings are the best time to visit.
On the weekends, visitors need to use the delivery entrance on Rockville Pike, and on weekdays, the visitors entrance.
