i am left handed, and so am i.

Gene for left-handedness is found
Scientists have discovered the first gene which appears to increase the odds of being left-handed.
The Oxford University-led team believe carrying the gene may also slightly raise the risk of developing psychotic mental illness such as schizophrenia.

Leftie here!

And they have always said it wasn't genetic!

Tell that to both my lefthanded parents and a number of my grandparents and other relatives.

Veeeerrry interesting. I have bipolar. And bipolar is genetic in the sense that you can be predispositioned to develop it but not everybody that is does. That is why some pairs of identical twins one has it while the other doesn't. Especially if they were raised apart. Same thing goes for lefthanded twins.
